Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Parkin have signed a strategic agreement to expand Dubai’s public EV charging network. Phase 1 will see 100 EV chargers installed across residential communities, malls, leisure zones and key public areas. The partnership supports Dubai’s Green Mobility Strategy 2030 and the UAE’s sustainability goals. Official announcement ↗
The rollout strengthens Dubai’s EV ecosystem by improving access, reducing range anxiety and accelerating private adoption. It complements DEWA’s Green Charger initiative and integrates with smart-city infrastructure for reliable uptime and easier user access. For businesses, publicly accessible chargers can increase dwell time and encourage greener fleets.
More chargers mean shorter detours and faster turnarounds. Drivers can plan routes using DEWA’s official channels and check availability before arriving. The network expansion also supports visitors, enabling lower-emission travel for tourism and major events.
Future phases will expand coverage to additional districts and inter-emirate corridors, aligning with Dubai’s wider sustainability roadmap. Progress updates and location lists will be published via DEWA and Dubai Government channels.
